HAAS Alert Safety Cloud is a digital alerting, connected vehicle and V2X road safety platform that sends real-time warnings directly to nearby and approaching motorists through select navigation applications and compatible in-vehicle infotainment systems. Alerts provide drivers with advance notice of emergency vehicles, roadside workers, active work zones and other roadway hazards, giving motorists more time to slow down, move over and make safer driving decisions.

Designed for emergency services, police, fire and ambulance fleets, tow trucks, roadside assistance operators, road authorities, government fleets, traffic management, construction, roadworks, maintenance and utility vehicles, Safety Cloud helps improve roadside visibility beyond traditional warning lights and sirens. It can broadcast moving alerts while an emergency vehicle is responding and stationary alerts when an equipped vehicle is operating at an incident or roadside worksite with its warning lights activated.

HOW HAAS ALERT SAFETY CLOUD WORKS

Safety Cloud can be activated through an installed HAAS Alert digital alerting transponder, supported telematics or fleet-management integrations, or selected original-equipment manufacturer installations. When the connected emergency or warning lights are activated, Safety Cloud begins sending digital alerts to approaching drivers.

Safety Cloud alerts can be delivered to drivers through supported navigation applications and compatible connected vehicle systems. The exact alert delivery channels and vehicle integrations available may vary by country, platform, vehicle manufacturer and service coverage.

HAAS Alert products and services are available individually or as a complete digital alerting package:

• HAAS Alert Transponder – HA-7
  A dedicated in-vehicle digital alerting transponder that can be wired to the vehicle’s power supply, ground and emergency-light input to activate Safety Cloud alerts when the warning system is operating.
• Safety Cloud Subscription – Responder-to-Vehicle Service
  Responder-to-Vehicle digital alerting sends electronic warnings from active emergency and roadside response vehicles to approaching civilian motorists through supported navigation apps and compatible vehicle infotainment systems.
• Responder-to-Responder Service – Cloud Subscription
  Responder-to-Responder digital alerting warns participating emergency crews when another enabled Safety Cloud-equipped emergency vehicle is actively responding and approaching the same intersection or turn. R2R is an add-on service and requires an active digital alerting subscription.
• External Puck Antenna for HA-7
  An external antenna option for HA-7 installations where antenna placement or the vehicle installation environment requires additional external signal support.
• R2R LED Kit
  In-cab LED indicators provide a visual warning when an R2R-equipped emergency vehicle is approaching the same intersection or potential conflict point.

An active Safety Cloud digital alerting subscription is required to operate the Responder-to-Vehicle service. Responder-to-Responder is an additional service and cannot operate as a standalone subscription. Product compatibility, alert delivery coverage, connected-vehicle integrations and service availability should be confirmed for each Australian or New Zealand fleet before purchase.
